Etihad Airways to adjust terms of its Etihad Chauffeur in Business Class and First Class

Etihad Airways recently announced it will be making adjustments to the terms of its premium transfer service "Etihad Chauffeur" for those taking business class flights or traveling in First Class of the airline. The adjustment will be effective from May 1, 2012.

The "Etihad Chauffeur" is a premium transfer service that carries customers door-to-door every time they take Etihad Airways flights in its Diamond First Class and Pearl Business Class.

The airline in a statement said that the Etihad Guest Gold Elite, Gold and Silver members will continue to enjoy a personal chauffeur on all legs of their flights on Diamond First Class or Pearl Business Class. The customers will be offered a total of eight chauffeur-driven transfers to and from the airport, when a return flight is booked with stopovers in Abu Dhabi.

The airline stated that the customers who are yet to attain Etihad Guest Silver status, or are not members of the Etihad Guest frequent flyer program, will be able to book only a total of 2 one-way chauffeur-driven transfers when booking business class seats on Etihad Airways. This new policy will be effective from May 1, 2012.
