Etihad Airways to launch flights to Lagos from July 1

Etihad Airways recently announced that it will launch flights to Lagos starting July 1, 2012, subject to regulatory approvals.

Nigeria’s capital Lagos will be Etihad Airway’s first destination in West Africa. Besides, it will also become the airline’s 83rd destination in its global network.
 
Getting air tickets for direct flights to Lagos from Abu Dhabi will become easy for the travelers now. The airline has said that it will operate Abu Dhabi-Lagos flights six times a week.
 
A two-class A330-200 aircraft configured with 22 Pearl Business Class and 240 Coral Economy Class seats will be deployed on the new route.
 
Earlier, Etihad Airways had launched flights to Seychelles in November 2011. This year in January the airline also started flights to Tripoli and will be launching flights to Nairobi in April.

The launch of flights to these destinations is a part of the airline’s African expansion plans.
