UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways recently indicated that it is planning to increase its flights services between Abu Dhabi International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) next year. The service on the route is being increased because of the growing demand from customers visiting the two destinations.
Media reports said that Etihad Airways would be upgrading its second flights services between New York JFK and Abu Dhabi starting from June 1, 2017. The additional service would be upgraded to the airline’s award-winning Airbus A380 aircraft, which will be prominently featuring the world’s only three-room suite – The Residence – available on any commercial airline so far. The additional service will also boast of award-winning First Apartment cabins as well.
The customers would enjoy ultimate luxurious experience when traveling in The Residence. The entire travel experience in this ultra premium private cabin is tailored and bespoke. The privileged customers can look forward to a chauffeur-driven ride to/from the airports both in New York JFK and Abu Dhabi, a private 3-room suite comprising a living room, a double bedroom and an en suite shower room. Moreover, a dedicated butler would also be in attendance to take care of the customers.
The airline’s second service would be joining its existing Airbus A380 service being operated daily. The newA380 service would replace the current daily Boeing 777-300ER service. Etihad Airways first introduced its Airbus A380 aircraft on Abu Dhabi-New York JFK route in November 2015.
Peter Baumgartner, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said, “The airline has received a tremendous response from the customers traveling between New York JFK and Abu Dhabi ever since the service was launched on the route nearly a decade ago. In fact, the service has been a phenomenal success. It is a matter of great delight now that Airbus A380 service is being further expanded and will be a success in future as well. We want to reiterate that the airline is fully committed to its valued customers and would continue providing them with highest levels if luxury, comfort and world-class hospitality wherever they travel with us, whether in the air or on the ground.”
