Etihad Airways upgraded Abu Dhabi business class lounge reopens

Etihad Airways recently announced that its first and business class lounge have finally been reopened after the completion of revamp. The upgraded facility is situated at Terminal 1 of Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The airline said that the upgraded facility is spread in an area of 1,044 square meters and has the capacity to seat at least 134 customers travelling in first class or holding business class tickets.

Shane O’Hare, Senior Vice President Marketing of Etihad Airways, said, “The design of the upgraded first and business class lounge is greatly inspired by the new branding of the airline. The design of the lounge is contemporary, attention to detail and customer focused, which appropriately reflects the ethos of the leading Middle East carrier.”

O’Hare further said that the airline’s privileged customers transiting through Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Terminal 1 can now look forward to a superior lounge experience in a relaxed and stylish environment where they will be able to recharge their batteries while waiting to board their flights.

The newly refurbished Terminal 1 Premium Lounge will be open 24 hours and will be equipped with modern facilities such as comfortable armchairs, state-of-the-art business amenities, a dedicated dining area, USM power outlets, complimentary Wi-Fi connectivity, a playroom for children, and bathrooms with shower facilities.

While relaxing at the lounge, the airline’s premium customers will also be treated to Etihad Airways signature food and beverage service with a choice of a buffet complemented by an extensive selection of beverages and restaurant-style dining.

The customers can also avail a 15-minute spa session at the completely refurbished Six Senses Spa in the lounge. A wide range of other treatments is also available by appointment.

Etihad Airways has indicated that it is looking to further expand its lounge network with a dedicated First Class Lounge in Abu Dhabi, and new lounges being planned as well for Los Angeles, New York and Melbourne.
