Etihad Airways wins prestigious Airline Market Leadership Award

UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways has become a leader in air travel market offering multiple flight options to its customers booking plane tickets for travel in various parts of the world. Etihad Airways was recently presented with the ‘Airline Market Leadership Award’, considered to be prestigious in the aviation industry. The airline was presented with the award at the recently held 40th Annual Airline Industry Achievement Awards ceremony held in the United States.

The awards are presented every year by the Air Transport World Magazine. The awards were launched in 1974 to recognize the excellence in operations in various categories provided by an airline. While presenting the awards, Karen Walker, ATW Editor-in-Chief, said that Etihad Airways had been putting up with a great performance constantly broadening its revenue earnings. He said that the airline has performed remarkably delivering another year of double-digit growth. Lauding the airline, he further said that Etihad Airways has now become the fastest-growing airline in the aviation history, which is solely based on its strategy and long-term vision.

James Hogan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, expressed delight on being presented with the top market leader award in the U.S. He said that the airline is a proud recipient and revels in its continued operational excellence and innovation.
