Etihad Begins Thrice Weekly Nonstop Business Class Service to DFW

Abu Dhabi based carrier, Etihad Airways started operating its new non-stop business class service between Dallas/ Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) on December 3, 2014. DFW is the sixth destination in the United States for the airline. This new route at DFW will bolster the airline's network in the United States and give more options for the business travelers flying from the Middle East.

The business class passengers can now enjoy the convenient United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) area in Terminal 3 at AUH which offers pre-clearance facility for U.S. customs. The guests arrive in the United States as domestic passengers, allowing faster processing.

The national carrier of UAE will deploy ultra-long haul Boeing 777-200LR aircraft on this route. The aircraft has eight seats in First Class called as Diamond First Class suites, 40 flat-bed seats in Business class called as Pearl Business Class and 189 in Economy Class called as Coral Economy Class. Pearl Business Class features a specially trained Food and Beverage Manager and Flying Nanny. The seats stretch as much as 6 feet 1 inch long and convert into fully-flat beds. The seats come along with adjustable head rests, in-seat massage function and mood lighting. The in-flight entertainment system features 15 inch touch screen and 750 hours of video and game content.

DFW has now become one of the four airports in United States will all three Persian Gulf Carriers flying from the Texas City to the Middle East. Qatar Airways and Emirates Airline offer daily service to Doha and Dubai respectively. The airline offers three flights in a week to DFW on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flights depart from AUH at 10:10 am and arrive in DFW at 4:50 pm local time. The flights from DFW leave at 6:50 pm and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 8:00 pm the following day. The airline will commence daily flights to DFW from April 16, 2015.
