Etihad Increases Business Class Flights to Sri Lanka

Etihad Airways has increased its business class flights service between Abu Dhabi and Colombo. From Feb 16, 2014 Etihad has doubled its connectivity between the two cities.

Etihad Airways in past was flying seven weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Colombo. However, now it will be operating twice daily between the city pair. With this the airline will be offering an additional of 112 business class seats every week. This addition will also increase nearly 46 percent connectivity to major destinations in Europe, UK and Africa via Abu Dhabi, the main operating hub of Etihad Airways.

Abu Dhabi-Colombo route will be served by an A320 aircraft, offering 120 seats in Economy Class and 16 seats in Business Class. This addition will not only ensure more than 1900 seats between the two key cities, but will also help Etihad strengthen its network with SriLankan Airlines.

Middle Eastern based Airline, Etihad had resumed its Colombo service in January 2010 and has till date flown more that 210,000 on this route.
