Etihad offers business class flights to Los Angeles

Etihad Airways launched business class flights between Abu Dhabi and Los Angeles on June 1, 2014. The service will be non-stop and operate daily on this route.

The flights operate from Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE to Los Angeles International Airport, USA. These flights will help business class passengers commute between the cities conveniently. The initial flights will use Airbus A340-500, offering 240 seats including 200 economy class seats, 28 business class flatbed seats and 12 first class suites.

From the middle of July, the service will be provided by Boeing 777-200 LR.  This aircraft will have three cabins. In addition, there will be a seating capacity for 237 passengers which includes 40 business class flat-bed seats. The rest include 8 seats in first class and 189 seats in economy class.

Los Angeles is Etihad’s fourth US destination. The other three destinations include Washington DC, New York, and Chicago. The flights on this route will cover a distance of 13,502 km, making it one of the world’s longest routes. In addition, it is also lengthiest taking a total flight time of 16 hours 30 minutes. This new route will help passengers from Middle East and Asia to have a direct link to California. Also, the new route will increase US west coast links with Middle East and Subcontinent.

The flights on Abu Dhabi – Los Angeles route depart from Abu Dhabi at 0850 hours and land in Los Angeles at 1420 hours local time. The return flight will depart from Los Angeles at 1615 hours and land in Abu Dhabi at 0735 hours the following day.

Los Angeles World Airports, executive director, Gina Marie Lindsey, said that Etihad is now a part of top list of international air carriers and is providing exceptional and improved services to their passengers through the new Tom Bradley International Terminal. The terminal will provide increased connectivity and services.
