Etihad to operate daily Dreamliner service to Washington D.C

Etihad Airways recently announced it will be launching a daily Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service to Washington D.C. The launch of new service will mark the airline’s U.S. debut of its new first class, business class and economy class products.

The airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to be flown between Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) will be configured in three classes. The customers traveling in first class will be offered eight suites. The airline will be offering a total of 28 seats for those booking business class flights. A total of 199 seats will also be offered in economy class as well.

Etihad Airways in a statement said that its new business class product in Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will provide at least 20 percent more legroom space than what is being currently offered. The business class seats will have a configuration of 1-2-1 and offer direct aisle access. The seats in the business class cabin can also be converted into a fully-flat bed.
 
Providing details about the new flight schedule, the airline said that the Flight EY131 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 1130 hrs and reach at Washington Dulles at 1845 hrs. The return flight EY130 will make its departure from Washington Dulles at 2250 hrs and arrive at Abu Dhabi at 1945 hrs the next day.

Washington D.C. is among the six destinations in the United States being currently served by Etihad Airways. The other U.S. cities where the airline is conducting its flights services include New York, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The customers traveling from Abu Dhabi to U.S. cities on Etihad Airways flights will also now be able to benefit from U.S. immigration pre-clearance.
