EVA Air enhances Trans-Pacific service with flights to Houston

Taiwan’s second-largest carrier EVA Air has decided to enhance its Trans-Pacific service with new nonstop flights to Houston effective from June 19, 2015. The new service will be operated from the capital city Taipei. The airline will provide seamless connectivity to the two cities with thrice weekly flights.

The passengers traveling between the two destinations stand to gain further with more travel options. EVA Air announced that it will be increasing its frequency to four weekly flights starting from July 1, 2015.

A spokesperson of the airline said that the new Taipei-Houston route will benefit the customers greatly as they will be able to travel comfortably from the Southwestern region of the United States to Taipei and efficiently travel beyond to other important destinations across Asia.
 
The airline will be deploying its latest Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, whose delivery is awaited in May 2015. The aircraft has been colorfully decked up. It has been brightly painted from nose-to-tail and looks dazzling with Sanrio characters and Texas-sized Hello Kitty.

The new aircraft is configured with a total of 333 seats – 39 seats in business class (Royal Laurel Class), 56 seats in premium economy (Elite Class) and 238 seats in Economy Class. The aircraft has been equipped with various facilities. These include SMS roaming service, state-of-the-art inflight entertainment system and Wi-Fi. The passengers can make use of the SMS roaming service to receive or send messages on their mobile phones.

EVA Air has also announced the flight schedule for its new service. The Flight BR52 will depart from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 10 pm and arrive in Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport at 11.25 pm next day. The flights will be operated on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The return Flight BR51 will make its departure from Houston at 1.15 am and reach Taipei at 5.55 am next day. The flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
