Taiwan’s second largest carrier EVA Air recently announced it would be increasing its frequencies on Seattle route with the addition of more arrivals and departures from next month. The Taiwanese carrier is presently operating daily flights to Seattle from Taipei, but will now be increasing it to 10 flights per week starting from November 19, 2016.
Media reports said that EVA Air is set to add departures and arrivals during morningtime. The new flights to be added on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays would be arriving late afternoon in Taipei, perfectly timed for a dinner meeting or convenient connection during late night to destinations in Saigon, Manila, Hong Kong or Bangkok. The return flight would be arriving in the morning in Seattle, which would be quite early enough for completing the day's work or traveling onwards to different destinations throughout North America.
A spokesperson of EVA Air said that business as well as leisure travelers would find it much convenient to fly to/from Asia with the flights service during daytime and also get flexible itinerary options. The airline while providing its new schedule said Flight BR023 will make its departure from Seattle-Tacoma at 11.30 am and reach Taipei at 4.30 pm next day. The return Flight BR024 would depart from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 11.50 am and arrive in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 6.20 am same day.
EVA Air also indicated that apart from introducing additional flights and new schedule in Seattle it would also be launching morning arrivals and midday departures in New York. The airline said that it will start operating twice daily flights to Taipei from New York starting from October 3, 2016.
Apart from the changes at Seattle and New York, EVA Air has also made changes to its schedule in Los Angeles as well. According to the new adjustments one of the three daily flights on Los Angeles-Taipei route would now make its arrival during early morning and take off during midday. The airline has also said that flights frequencies to Southeast Asian destinations are being increased, thus boosting a number of convenient onward connections from North America via Taipei bringing to 128 flights per week by the end of this year.
