EVA Air to upgrade business class on its Boeing 777-300ER fleet

Taiwan’s leading carrier EVA Air recently announced it will be investing $100 million for upgrading business class across its fleet of 15 Boeing 777-300ERs.

The airline in a statement said that the first aircraft will be completely refitted by the end of May this year. The newly-refitted aircraft will be deployed on Taipei Taoyuan-New York JFK, and start flying from June 2, 2012.

According to the airline, all the 15 Boeing aircrafts are scheduled to be completely refitted by August 2013.

EVA Air revealed that the first refitted aircraft will operate thrice weekly on the carrier’s four-time weekly service on Taipei Taoyuan-New York JFK route. The airline has also indicated that its four-time weekly service on this route will be increased to five-time weekly from June 18, 2012. 

The airline also stated that it will be launching the refitted aircraft on the Los Angeles route by the end of this year. Apart from this, it will also be introducing refitted aircrafts on other routes as well from 2013. These routes include San Francisco, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam and London.
