Finnair exploring partnerships for European flights

Finland’s flag carrier Finnair recently announced that it will effect major changes to flight operations on its European routes.

The airline disclosed that it is looking out for suitable business partners interested in operating Nordic flights, and possibly all European flights. Besides, the airline will also focus on long-haul flights, particularly to Asia.

Finnair has suffered losses for several years now, and is trying to salvage the situation as much possible. The major operational changes to the European routes by the airline are aimed at aimed at seeking substantial savings.

Finnair has so far not yet provided any details about its recent plans, but said that it will begin negotiations with “potential partners”. The airline also said that its new partner would be revealed within the next couple of months. 

The airline hopes that joint operations would be of immense help and would strengthen Finnair’s position in the Nordic countries. With this partnership, the airline also expects to improve its business to Asia. The airline wants to provide its passengers better facilities, and offer air tickets at low fares.
