Finnair introducing new business class seats in January 2014

If you have booked business class flights for travel on Finnair this year, be ready for a great flying experience. Finland’s national airline Finnair has recently announced it will be installing new fully-flat business class seats on its long-haul aircraft starting from January 2014.

Finnair, which is also a member of the leading global airline alliance Oneworld, said that the installation of the newly-designed seats in its long-haul business class cabins would be completed by autumn this year. The airline in a statement said that all its long-haul Airbus aircrafts will be featuring the new seats when the installation is finally completed. However, the three oldest aircraft of Finnair would not get new seats installed as they would be retiring in 2015.

According to Finnair, Zodiac Seats UK Vantage seats would be installed. The airline’s four new Airbus A330 aircrafts already have these seats installed. The new seats promise a great flying experience to the customers. The airline said that the new seats can be converted to a fully-flat bed of up to 200cm. The shoulder room of the new seats would be 58 cm.

Presently, Finnair’s long-haul fleet comprises of 15 Airbus A330s and A340s, which are being used to provide flight services to 13 destinations in Asia. The airline has already placed orders for 11 Airbus A350 aircrafts, which will start being delivered in the second half of 2015.
