Finnair is set to give its business class a comfortable makeover

Finnair, the flagship carrier of Finland said it is set to refurbish its long-haul flights. The largest carrier of Finland announced its decision to install full flat bed seats across its fleet operating on long distance routes. The airline expects the installation process to wrap up by the fall of next year.

The airline is set to gift passengers traveling on business class flights across destinations worldwide with better comforts and luxury. The refurbished business seats will debut on its Airbus fleet towards the end of next year. Other than its three old Airbus planes, all other planes from the series will sport new seats. The airline eventually plans to replace these planes once it receives the delivery of A350 XWB planes in 2015.

The airline operates service from its base in Vantaa to several destinations across the globe. It offers flights to many U.S. gateways including Fort Lauderdale, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York City, Seattle, and San Francisco. The airline has invested heavily on this makeover.

The new seats will comprise fully-flat beds measuring up to 79 inches. These seats consist of a shoulder room of 23 inches. Other amenities offered along with the seats include personal reading light, adjustable headrest, mood lighting and an assortment of in-flight entertainment options.
