Finnair offering full-flat business class seats to New York

Now, get set to make your travel experience more enjoyable on Finnair flights to New York, Tokyo, Beijing and Seoul. Finland’s national carrier Finnair is ready to make its customers traveling in business class flights happier than before.

Finnair recently announced it will start offering full-flat business class seats to customers traveling to New York and Tokyo effective from April 1, 2014. The airline has indicated that it will offer full-flat seats in business class cabins in phases.

According to the airline, this privilege will be offered to those booking business class flights to Beijing, Seoul, Shanghai, Osaka, Nagoya, Hong Kong and Hanoi. The airline said that this offer will become effective on flights to Seoul and Beijing from May 1, while those traveling to Osaka, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Nagoya and Hanoi would enjoy this privilege starting from June 1.

Finnair had made significant investments to upgrade its Airbus A330 and A340 wide-body fleet and installed full-flat business class seats under its fleet renewal plan. These seats are already being used by the airline on its 4 new Airbus A330 aircrafts.

The airline said that newly-designed business class cabins would be equipped with a 79-inch fully-flat bed. The shoulder room is measuring 23 inch. The seats would be fully adjustable and are outfitted with mood lights, adjustable head rest, personal reading light, and a host of entertainment options.

Currently, Finnair is operating 15 Airbus aircrafts comprising A330 and A340 in its wide-body fleet. These aircrafts are serving various destinations in North America as well as Asia.
