Is There Any Thing As Domestic First Class Travel? Many US airlines such as Delta and American Airlines use the term ‘Domestic First Class’ instead of business class and the services are generally a step lower than their long haul counterparts.
However, this too varies by airlines. Take for example, American Airline that offers a two cabin first class travel option. While in services, they are similar to a business class flight, the airlines brand them under American Flagship Service for strategic reasons. On the other hand, Delta calls it the United p.s, which stands for Premium Service. Both these airlines offer these classes on their transcontinental routes such as SFO-JFK, LAX-JFK and JFK-SFO. All these classes are different from the three cabin first class, which is indeed the true form of first class.
