Fly and Earn miles as Lufthansa resumes flight service to Rio de Janeiro

Lufthansa Airlines recently announced the resuming of its flight service to Rio de Janeiro. To celebrate this launch Lufthansa offers its customers the chance to win 30,000 Miles and More miles. Customers will play a game on Facebook , the social networking site and will get a chance to earn up to 30,000 miles and More miles.

Lufthansa first served the Brazilian city in 2005 and will resume from 30th October 2011. The airline will operate its three-class A340-300 aircraft, which will depart from Frankfurt on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday at 10.15am and will arrive in Rio de Janeiro at 07.45pm. The round trip flight will then depart from Rio de Janeiro at 11.15pm and will arrive in Frankfurt at 02.40pm.

To celebrate the resumption, Lufthansa is offering its customers a chance to win one of the three prizes of 30,000 miles and More miles. To win the miles customers will have to login through Facebook to participate in “App around the world – Destination: Rio” promotion. General questions on Rio de Janeiro will be asked from the participants and the correct answers will add on to the miles.

Several other international airlines such as Emirates Airways, British Airways, and TAM Brazilian Airlines have announced the resuming of flights and launch of new flights to Rio de Janeiro. Some of them have also announced to increase flight frequencies to Rio de Janeiro.
