If you prefer traveling in
business class airlines between Seoul and New York then here is some good news.
Korean Air has planned to place an all new Airbus A380 to fly between Seoul and New York, from 9 August 2011. With the addition of this flight, Korean Air would strengthen its flight frequency to New York and offer three classes to fly in. The new Airbus A380 will ply thrice a week on the New York-Seoul route for the time being and will increase to 7 flights a week in coming September.
For August the flying days will be Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and the flight will leave Seoul by 11:00 and touch-down New York at 11:55 the same day. While returning, the new flights will leave New York at 14:00 and reach Seoul at 17:20 the following day.
September flying schedule is yet to come out.
The new flight will offer 94 fully lie-flat business class seats along with 12 First Class Kosmo suites and 301 economy seats. Korean Airlines Airbus A380 is a double-decker plane and has a total of 407 seats, the lowest for its kind.
During the flight, travelers would have access to in-flight facilities such as bar, lounge area and Duty Free Showcase, which is world’s first.
Korean Air would include a total of ten A380 aircraft, 3 of which will be in action by the end of 2011 and the rest in 2014.
Through this acquisition, the airline is looking to organically expand A380 frequency to top European and North American destinations such as Los Angeles and Paris by the end of this year.
