Flybe Spreads its Wings in the U.S. with Aer Lingus Codeshare

Flybe and Aer Lingus have entered a codeshare agreement to connect the U.K. and European customers to numerous destinations in the United States and Canada. The airline’s plan to connect the customers with ‘One Stop to the World’ flights is developing with this agreement with Dublin based airline.

Through this codeshare, Flybe passengers can fly from Exeter, Southend, Inverness and Southampton to various destinations including Boston, Orlando, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Toronto via a single stop in Dublin. The North Atlantic network for Aer Lingus' includes 10 daily flights to the cities.

Since the Dublin Airport provides pre-clearance for U.S. customs, the passenger would bypass U.S Customs and Immigration queues and head straight to the arrival halls at their destination.

Chief Strategy and Planning Officer for Aer Lingus, Stephen Kavanagh expressed delight and said that joining hands with Flybe as a codeshare affiliate will increase the global reach and further develop its hub at Dublin to provide better service to the customers in the United States. The U.K. Chief Commercial Officer for Flybe, Paul Simmons also commented that the codeshare collaboration with Aer Lingus is a great development and the airline is thrilled to join forces with Aer Lingus, the national carrier of Ireland. He also added that this codeshare will offer seamless connections to the U.S. from the U.K. and the customers will not have to travel on long road trips or train journeys to board the flights from the airport in Dublin.

Flybe has five codeshare collaborations with Air France, Etihad, British Airways, KLM and Finnair along with 17 interline partnerships with Air Portugal, Emirates, Delta, Qatar Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
