Frühlings Dippemess, also called Spring Dippemess Fair, in Frankfurt, is one of the most popular funfairs in Germany. Initially, it used to be a medieval market for pottery, especially for ceramic bowls and pots, called “Dippes” in the Frankfurt dialect. The fair was relocated to Frankfurt Fairground (Festplatz) on Ratsweg in the 1950s. Today, it has become Frankfurt’s largest fair and Germany’s most popular event.
