Frontier Airlines adding second daily Aspen-Denver flight Oct 4-6

Frontier Airlines has announced that it will add a second daily flight to Denver from Aspen for 3 days on October 4-6, 2011.

The airline is making the move to provide convenience to passengers who would be missing United Express flights to/from Aspen-Pitkin County Airport because of runway extension work.

Frontier Airlines disclosed that United Express will not be able to operate flight services for 3 days to/from Aspen airport due to runway extension work, and so has decided to fill the gap and operate flights to/from Aspen airport during these 3 days.

Frontier Airlines is currently operating one daily flight to Denver during the fall off-season.

The airline stated that it will offer one-way Economy Class seat from Denver to Aspen on October 4, 2011 for US$172.70, which however is usually priced at US$119.70.

The aircrafts utilized by the United Express are too long for the shortened runway. Frontier Airlines, which operates small aircrafts, will hence be at an advantageous position during these 3 days.
