Frontier Airlines and Allegiant Air engaged in fare war over CVG

It’s absolutely the best times for customers booking flights to/from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) with at least two leading low-cost carriers engaged in a stiff fares war. The air travelers are undoubtedly having a field day as never before.

Frontier Airlines recently in August this year made its biggest expansion of flights services at CVG in nearly a decade. This has also made CVG a major hub for the airline as well.

The airline will be launching 21 new weekly flights from CVG in late October 2014. The destinations include Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Dallas/Fort Worth. The new flights will in fact double the number of weekly departures at CVG by Frontier Airlines, which will be offering nonstop service to 8 cities, which will be second only to that of Delta Air Lines.

Frontier Airlines has announced cheap airfares to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Dallas/Fort Worth from CVG starting from $14.99* one-way for the flights scheduled to operate from October 26 to 28. The airline will also be offering a $29* one-way fare on flights after the launch date through December 17, 2014.

Another low-cost carrier Allegiant Air has also promptly swung into action and announced attractive deals to all of the 6 vacation cities it is providing services from CVG year-round. Taking cue the airline even dropped the ticket prices for one-day on flights to Fort Lauderdale, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Orlando offering fares between $29 and $68.
 
With the two low-cost carries engaged into a fare war, the air travelers to/from CVG are making merry with the prospects of getting cheap flights for at least a considerable period in future.
