Frontier Airlines boost service to three cities from Cincinnati

Frontier Airlines recently announced the expansion of its flights services to three cities in the United States from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The airline has also increased frequencies to two new destinations as well.

Leading low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines said that it has started operating flights to Fort Myers and Atlanta from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport effective from April 30, 2015. The airline, which is renowned for offering cheap airfares to its customers, said that it will be serving the two cities with the help of an Airbus A319 aircraft, which has a carrying capacity of 138 passengers.

A spokesperson of Frontier Airlines said that the flights services to Fort Lauderdale will be increased to seven times per week from the existing three times per week. The airline will also be enhancing its services to Orlando to seven flights per week instead of the four times per week services. The flights services to Las Vegas have also been increased to twice daily flights instead of the previous once daily service.

With the increased frequencies now, Frontier Airlines will now be offering a total of 61 flights every week, which has nearly doubled from the earlier 32 flights services per week. The weekly seat capacity will also be increased to 8,500 now. To boost the services, the airline also offered discounted fares to its customers.

Media reports said that low-cost carriers such as Frontier Airlines and Allegiant Air have proved to be responsible for significantly lowering the average fares at the Cincinnati airport during Q4 2014. Cincinnati airport had traditionally topped the list in providing most expensive airfares in the United States.
