Frontier Airlines may lower business class fares for Corridor travelers

Frontier Airlines recently indicated that it is contemplating to reduce airfares for business class flights between Denver and Cedar Rapids. The move of the airline is also expected to benefit leisure travelers as well.

Frontier Airlines flights between Denver and Cedar Rapids was launched on May 17, 2012. The airline is initially offering flights four times every week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The airline said in a statement that it will be competing with United Express, which currently serves Cedar Rapids with more early morning and late evening daily and Sunday flights. According to Frontier Airlines, business travelers prefer to fly out early in the morning and return in the evening, allowing them to work a full day at their destination.

Tim Bradshaw, Director of The Eastern Iowa Airport, said that business travelers are known to take Frontier Airlines flights to their destination and return by way of another carrier. He said that Frontier Airlines will be able to attract both business class fliers and leisure travelers. He also hoped that Frontier Airlines will provide a low-cost alternative for passengers traveling to Denver and western destinations, such as Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego and beyond.
