Frontier Airlines new Kansas City-Tampa route starts Feb 15, cheap tickets to Tampa at US$99

Frontier Airlines has announced its decision to start seasonal, nonstop flights to Tampa from Kansas City effective February 15, 2012. The airline said that the move is in continuation with expanding its low-cost, nonstop service from Kansas City.

Frontier Airlines in a statement said that the seasonal, nonstop flight service will operate twice weekly starting from February 15, 2012 and shall continue through April 14, 2012. The flights will operate on Tuesday or Wednesday and on Saturday.

To mark the launch of its new Kansas City-Tampa route, Frontier Airlines is offering introductory cheap tickets to Tampa starting as low as US$99 one-way. The discount airfares can be availed only when cheap flights to Tampa are booked by up till December 11, 2011. The travel on the offer should be completed latest by February 29, 2012.   

The airline will deploy a 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft to serve on the new Kansas City-Tampa route. The airline also said that no middle seats will be featured on the aircraft and the passengers will enjoy Stretch seating with up to 7 inches of additional legroom on every flight.

With the launch of new Kansas City-Tampa route, Frontier Airlines will now be serving a total of 20 destinations nonstop from Kansas City.

According to the airline, the passengers are not required to purchase roundtrip tickets. The tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but may however be reissued or transferred after paying a change fee of up to US$100 (depending on the fare type purchased).
