Frontier Airlines September 2011 passenger traffic result unveiled

Frontier Airlines recently announced its operational results for the month of September 2011 citing an increase in its passenger traffic. Unveiling its preliminary results for last month, the airline stated that its passenger traffic has increased to 1.0 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), up 2%.

The airline, however, reported a capacity decline at 1.2 billion available seat miles (ASMs), down 2%. The airline disclosed that its passenger traffic increased by 5% in September as compared to the same month last year. Frontier Airlines in a statement said that it had served 1.3 million passengers last month.

The airline in its results reported its record monthly load factor consecutively for the third time. According to Frontier Airlines, the September 2011 load factor increased by 86% as compared to 83% during the same month last year.

Frontier Airlines is currently operating its flight services from its hubs at Denver International Airport, Kansas City International Airport and Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport. The airline is presently serving 80 destinations in the US, Costa Rica and Mexico.
