Frontier Airlines to launch winter flights to Puerto Vallarta

Leading U.S. low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines recently announced it will be launching new seasonal flights to Puerto Vallarta from Chicago O’Hare during 2016 winter schedule. The sale of flight tickets is already on. Travel experts said that the tourism regions of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit continue to remain quite attractive market for U.S. carriers, particularly during the peak winter season.

The inaugural flight would be launched on October 31, 2016. The last departure would however be on March 1, 2017. The flights will be conducted between Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and Puerto Vallarta’s Lic. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport. The flights would be operated four-times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Frontier Airlines stated that it will be a total of 86 flights during the winter seasonal service to be conducted for a period of six months. The airline will be deploying an Airbus A319 aircraft configured with 156 seats. Frontier Airlines has been continuously operating flights services for the past 20 years since its launch.

Meanwhile, Denver-based Frontier Airlines said that it would be launching new nonstop flights to Orlando from Colorado Springs in October this year. The year-round service to Disney World’s hometown Orlando is expected to greatly benefit leisure travelers and vacationers with a new travel option thus sparing them from expensive parking and long security lines. The new service is also likely to wean away some budget conscious travelers from Denver International Airport, particularly all those who have been residing in the southern suburbs.

Frontier Airlines has become the only carrier in the United States to announce the launch of its nonstop flights from Colorado Springs to Orlando. The daily flights between the two destinations would be operated with the help of an Airbus A320 aircraft with a carrying capacity of nearly 180 passengers. The flights would depart from Colorado Springs at 5.10 pm and reach Orlando at 10.30 pm. The return flight would make its departure from Orlando at 8.50 am and land in Colorado Springs at 11 am.
