Frontier Airlines to re-launch Memphis flights from today

Frontier Airlines is gifting Memphis travelers a long sought after service beginning today. The city has been waiting for a long time to receive flights from the budget carrier. The first flight is set to touch down at Memphis International Airport at approximately 1:40 pm here today.

The Denver based airline has been offering Cheap Airfare to travelers ever since it commenced operations in the year 1994. Today the airline will depart from its hub in Denver to the Tennessee city. The airline management, staff, and travelers are equally excited about this flight and all are waiting anxiously to flag off this service.

It used to operate nonstop service to this city but it had ceased flights after mounting financial issues in 2009. The same year Indianapolis-based firm Republic Airways Holdings sold it. The airport authorities at Memphis are overwhelmed with this service. They are happy about the fact that this flight will pave way for the travelers to and from the city to book tickets at low fares. They are also sure that the re-entry of this low-cost carrier into the city will open gateways for more budget airlines to fly here. The entry of budget carriers will give travelers more options to fly at affordable rates to the city.

The airline is constantly expanding its footprints within and outside the United States. At present, it flies to about 77 destinations across the U.S, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Jamaica. It operates out of its hub in Denver International Airport. Some of the cities listed on its itinerary include San Jose, Punta Cana, Montego Bay, Cozumel, Cancun, Fairbanks, Phoenix, Fresno, Tampa, Chicago, and Austin.
