Frontier Airlines unveils new ticket offer with bundled fees

If you are a frequent traveller on Frontier Airlines, then you already know that a fee needs to be paid for virtually everything – be it your carry-on bags or buying soda and a lot more. However, to ease up your worries and lighten burden on your pockets, be ready to avail cheap airfares that the airline has brought to you once again.

Frontier Airlines recently announced it will be discounting several common fees provided the customer is ready to purchase them all in a bundle. Travel experts nevertheless are seeing the move of the airline as subtle and interesting.

Frontier Airlines want to bring itself in the league of ultra-low cost carrier and making extensive efforts for a turnaround on the model of Spirit Airlines and Allegiant Air. The two so-called ultra-low cost carriers are famous for charging low fares, but earning significant revenues through a host of fees such as for carry-on bags and selling coffee, which though are offered for free on bigger airlines.

The low-fare, high-fees model has however been strongly defended by Barry Biffle, President of Frontier Airlines. Biffle said, “The new model will be easy on customer’s pocket. Now more people can look forward to travel with the airline because they will be able to save money by choosing not to buy services that are not required by them at all.”

The new bundled fee package has been named “The Works” and comes with deep discount. The package includes the best available seat, one carry-on bag, one checked bag, and no fee for changing the ticket later. Biffle said that the new fee package will be a permanent feature of Frontier Airlines now.
