Frontier converts Trenton into a hub in just about two years

Frontier Airlines is in a mood to expand its services from the Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN). The New Jersey based airport is perhaps not looked upon as favorable airport when it comes to jet setting on an exotic holiday in some of the breathtaking destinations. Thinking about the airport also generates no or little curiosity. At first instance, it is as if the airport is a boring place, however that is not to be. In fact, the ambiance around this place gives the airport an antiquated look that is more or less soothing for the eyes.

A sneak peek into the airport lets us catch a glimpse of the animal painted aircrafts all around. Over the last few years Frontier Airlines has transformed this airport into an encouraging hub for many East Coast destinations. The Denver, Colorado based airline now offers Cheap Airfares to several cities from its Trenton base in accordance with its national expansion plan. In November 2012, the airline commenced twice a week service to Orlando. Its faith in the Trenton market has since given a boost to the airport that today it is counted amongst one of the best performing airports for the airline. It also reflects the airline’s ability to convert an inconspicuous airport into a major hub in about two-years time period.

Interestingly, the airport has earned several rivals with its growth. At present, Atlantic City International Airport considers Trenton-Mercer Airport as its strong rival, a fact that this airport should feel proud about. Apparently, Atlantic City International Airport believes that this airport is a feasible and budget alternative to Newark and Philadelphia for many carriers.

In the past, as well many airlines have tried and tested the waters at this airport but have failed to entice the travelers. However, Frontier Airline’s low cost philosophy seems to have struck the right chord. Therefore, the airline has successfully been able to convert an obscure airport into a thriving hub in a short span of time.
