Good news awaits passengers traveling out of Trenton-Mercer Airport. Leading U.S. low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has announced it will be launching direct flights between Bahamas and Trenton-Mercer. The airline is expected to launch the new service to Nassau by mid-November after the Bahamas government approves the airline’s request.

Brian Hughes, Mercer County Executive, said that the decision of Frontier Airlines to introduce international service with the launch of direct flights to Bahamas, an island resort destination, is laudable. To celebrate the launch of new service, the airline is offering cheap airfares starting at $59* each way. The travel period on this offer is valid until March 1, 2015.
