Frontier returns to PBIA after 6 years, adds 10 routes across U.S.

Frontier Airlines began operating its first flight from Palm Beach International Airport yesterday. It was the first non-stop flight from Palm Beach International Airport to Denver in over 6 years.

Frontier Airlines is the only low-cost carrier that will offer direct flight services to Denver four days a week through April, 2015. The airline started operating daily flights between Palm Beach International and Denver in 2007, but stopped the service after five months due to the rising jet fuel costs.

As per the announcement in August, the airline has launched services at PBIA with direct flights to Denver International Airport. Flights to Washington Dulles International Airport are scheduled to being operations on November 22 with four days a week flights whereas flights to New Jersey’s Trenton-Mercer Airport will commence on November 20, 2014 thrice a week. The services will continue through April wherein the flights for the winter season have not been confirmed. Frontier Airlines is also expanding its services in key areas including Fort Lauderdale, Chicago O’ Hare, St. Louis, Atlanta, Orlando, Milwaukee, Cancun (Mexico) and Fort Myers.

The flights are scheduled to phase-in between November 2014 and January 2015.

• Washington Dulles – Cancun route to begin by Nov 22
• St. Louis – Orlando to begin from Dec 21 and St. Louis - Fort Lauderdale from January 8. Both these routes will be operated thrice weekly, using Airbus A319.
• Three weekly flights between Milwaukee and Orlando will begin operations on Jan 7 followed by St. Louis and Fort Myers services starting on Jan 8.
• Chicago O'Hare and Orlando route will begin daily service on Dec 20
• Flights between Atlanta and Orlando will start on Dec 14 with five weekly flights on Airbus A319
