Fuel Hike results into Fares Hike: Emirates

Emirates Air in a statement said that it has increased the fares across all sectors in order to meet the rising oil prices. The airline did not mention the details of the hike in fare, but indicated that the fares will vary according to the markets and routes.

An Emirate Air spokeswoman said, "We have an active fuel risk management program but with such market volatility it is impossible to fully absorb the impact of soaring oil prices."

According to analysts, the rising oil prices will hit back the airlines profits, which are operating in the Middle East/ North Africa region.
