Fun-filled shopping extravaganza during 2015 Korea Grand Sale

The 2015 Korea Grand Sale in Seoul is already underway. South Korea’s capital city is flush with millions of tourists from foreign countries who are enjoying their visit to Asia’s fabled shopping paradise. This 84-day-long shopping extravaganza started from December 1, 2014 and will be continuing till February 22, 2015.

The Korean Grand Sale is being organized every year and offers fabulous shopping opportunities to the people from around the world. The Visit Korea Committee is the main host of the event and is being sponsored by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This promotional event is being held to provide the best experience to overseas tourists during their stay in South Korea.

This shopping extravaganza will see the participation of nearly 126 companies, including major shopping malls, discount stores, hotels, duty free shops and department stores that are highly popular and mostly frequented by tourists from foreign countries. A total of 28,000 establishments will be taking part in the promotion. The entire period will see the visitors being offered amazing discounts, beautiful souvenirs and numerous performances.

This year the 2015 Korea Grand Sale has started in December. The event is being held one month earlier when compared to the past events, only because it will be overlapping with the Visit Korea Week. The prime objective of holding this event much before than its scheduled time is only to create wider cooperation among the participating companies so that they are able to offer bigger promotions. The other important goal is also to provide a festive year-end atmosphere for all the tourists visiting Korea this year.

Three themed weeks of event period
The entire event period has been categorized into three themed weeks. These themed weeks include “Must-See”, “Must-Do” and “Must-Buy”. The visitors will be offered various opportunities and different promotions each week. The “Must-See” week will leave the tourists mighty pleased with the exclusive one-plus-one promotion. This will be based on acclaimed non-verbal performances. The visitors will be offered an astounding 50 percent discount on theme parks and events by all the entertainment companies actively participating in this shopping gala.

The “Must-Buy” week will be taking place at a time when winter is to end and the spring season begins. The shoppers will be offered important information and given gifts by the participating companies. This will though strictly depend on the amount of money the particular shopper has spent. Municipal governments will also be playing an active role during this one-of-its-kind shopping extravaganza and provide awesome local festival experiences to the tourists. During this time the traditional markets will also be open for access as well.

During the entire 84-day-long Korea Grand Sale several event booths would be established. These would be offering the 888 Gift Event.
