Hainan Airlines expands to North America with new LAX flights

Hainan Airlines recently introduced its third route between central China and Los Angeles. The airline has now started offering twice weekly nonstop flights to Chongqing from Los Angeles. It may be known that Chongqing is strategically located on the Three Gorges and Yangtze River, and is popular manufacturing metropolis in central China.

 

Media reports said that Hainan Airlines is presently aggressively expanding in North America on a large scale, and the launch of new Chongqing-Los Angeles route is a part of this strategy. The airline is already operating nonstop flights to U.S. West Coast with services on Beijing-San Francisco, Beijing-Las Vegas, Beijing-Seattle and Shanghai-Seattle routes. The nonstop flights to these destinations will also be complementing nonstop routes such as those between Boston and Shanghai, and between Beijing and Toronto, Boston, Calgary and Chicago. The airline had earlier launched flights from Los Angeles to Changsha and Chengdu.

 

According to the reports, the flights between Chongqing and Los Angeles will be served with the help of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts. A spokesperson of Hainan Airlines said that the new nonstop flights will depart from Los Angeles airport’s Terminal 2 at 12:45 am twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays, and reaches Chongqing at 6:30 am following day. The return flights would make their departure from Chongqing at 9:15 pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and arrives in Los Angeles at 8:00 pm same day. Currently, Hainan Airlines is now operating most nonstop flights utilizing Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts between North America and China than any other airline.

 

A spokesperson of Hainan Airlines said that the business class customers traveling on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts would be offered fully-flat beds. Among other amenities to be offered in business class cabins include amenity kits comprising Bulgari cosmetic products, priority check-in, award-winning wines, gourmet Western and Chinese cuisines, and state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system with a wide range of games, audio and movies.
