Hainan wins honors for best Economy Class by WTA in Doha

Hainan Airlines has a pleasant surprise for its customers. The airline was recently awarded for its economy class. It has been honored with the World’s Leading Economy Class award at a glittering ceremony held in Doha recently. The awards were presented by World Travel Awards (WTA), which are termed as high profile in the industry.

The airline offers service to destinations worldwide and provides cheap flights options to passengers across the globe. Many passengers prefer to travel by the airline from its hubs in Haikou Meilan International Airport, and Beijing Capital International Airport.

The airline achieved this milestone barely a month after winning Asia’s Leading Airline Economy Class award in the United States. It operates service to the U.S. as well and runs flights to Chicago and Seattle. WTA  was founded in the year 1993. It has since been honoring and recognizing the efforts of players across the travel and tourism industry. These awards are revered in the industry and have gained acceptance at a global level. Some have even branded these awards as Oscars of the travel industry.

This year Hainan beat 12 other rivals to sweep the honors. Other airlines that competed in the section include British Airways, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Emirates Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic. It flies to destinations in Russia, United States, China, Sudan, Philippines, Thailand, Belgium, and Vietnam among others.
