Hawaiian Airlines to begin Los Angeles-Maui flights this summer

Hawaiian Airlines has recently announced it will be launching its daily nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Maui to be operated year-round. The new flight services would be launched this summer starting from 1st July 2014. The airline in a statement said that the new service is being launched keeping in view the growing demand from Southern California. The airline tickets for the new service are already up for sale.

According to Hawaiian Airlines, more than 120,000 seats would be added on Los Angeles-Maui route when the new service finally starts. The airline said that the new service would provide convenient connections to Hawaii Islands from various cities on the U.S. mainland. Peter Ingram, Hawaiian Airlines’ Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, said that the Maui island has emerged as a popular tourist destination and is serving as an ideal transit point for U.S. Mainland and neighbor island travel.

Providing details about the flight schedule, Hawaiian Airlines said that flights would depart from Maui’s Kahului Airport at 3.40 pm and arrive in Los Angeles at 11.55 pm. The return flight would depart from Los Angeles International Airport at 11.15 am and arrive in Kahului Airport at 1.45 pm. The airline will deploy a wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a capacity to seat 294 passengers. The aircraft will be equipped with 18 seats in the First Class and 276 seats in the Main Cabin.
