Hawaiian Airlines to offer new amenity kits on long-haul routes

U.S. carriers are making efforts to provide better travel experience to their respective customers. Hawaiian Airlines is yet another carrier that has now started rolling out new amenity kits for its customers on international flights. The roll out began in April this year.

American Airlines was the first carrier in the United States to introduce new amenity kits for its first class customers traveling on transcontinental flights. The customers booking business class flights on international routes were also offered the new travel kits. Media reports said that Hawaiian Airlines decided to follow suit after two months and is now providing new travel kits to its customers traveling on long-haul international routes.

Alison Croyle, Spokeswoman for Hawaiian Airlines, said, “The new travel kits introduced on international flights by the airline is to enhance the experience of the customers. It also fulfills the airline’s in-flight philosophy of “Mea Ho’okipa” (I am host).”

Croyle said that the business class customers will be provided ear plugs, ear phones, eyeshades, a pillow box, a pen, a bamboo comb, Loli‘i skincare products with coconut essence, and  socks printed with “E Hiamoe Maika‘I,” which means “Sleep Well”. The main cabin or economy class customers will however be provided only ear plugs, ear phones, eyeshades and a pillow box.

Honolulu-based Hawaiian Airlines has entered into partnership with  Manuheali‘i, one of the highly popular clothing designers in Hawaii, for creating an exclusive banana leaf pattern in light grey and teal to appropriately showcase the picturesque and charming Hawaiian Islands.
