Hawaiian to restore San Jose nonstop flights, boost Oakland route

Hawaiian Airlines has announced its decision to reinstate its daily service to San Jose. The airline said that it intends to re-launch its non-stop flights between Honolulu and San Jose beginning May 16, 2014. The airline will deploy wide body Boeing 767-300ER to fly this route. This plane has a seating capacity for 264 passengers of which, 18 belong to Business Class while the rest 246 belong to Economy Class.

As per the schedule, flights will depart Honolulu at 2:20 pm and arrive in San Jose at 10:30 pm from May 16, 2014. Return flights will depart San Jose at 10:10 am and arrive in Honolulu at 12:35 pm from May 17, 2014.

Apart from this service, the largest commercial carrier of Hawaii also plans to upgrade its Oakland route with Airbus A330-200 aircrafts. The airline will launch A330-200 planes to Oakland starting from June 18, 2014. These new planes consist of a seating capacity for 294 passengers. These will therefore boost the capacity by 60 additional seats on the same sector. At present, passengers can book plane tickets to Oakland from Honolulu as well as Kahului. It operates direct service from both these destinations to Oakland. It also intends to launch seasonal service to Oakland from Lihu’e as well as Kona. This seasonal service is set to begin in the month of June. With this service, Hawaiian Airlines aims at connecting all the four Hawaiian Islands with the northern part of the state of California.

As per the schedule, flights will depart Honolulu at 2:10 pm and arrive in Oakland at 10:25 pm from June 18, 2014. On the other hand, return flights will depart Oakland at 10:00 am and arrive in Honolulu at 12:20 pm from June 19, 2014.
