Hilton Worldwide launches digital check-in service

Hilton Worldwide announced the launch of its new digital check-in service allowing Hilton HHonors members to make use of their smartphones for check-in and check-out, as well as make their own preferred room selection.

Media reports said that the customers who prefer to stay at a Hilton property will now be allowed to check-in through their smartphone and also to choose their exact room enlisted in a Hilton hotel’s digital floor plan.

The reports also said that the customers will be provided a chance to customize their stay as well by buying upgrades, and also make special requests to hotel staff for delivering the required items to their room. All this can be done through smartphones, laptops and tablets.

The new technology will allow Hilton HHonors members to make their preferred room selection starting from 0600 a day prior to their scheduled booked stay. This can be done by signing into the account through the smartphones, tablets or laptops. The members will find it convenient to select their preferred rooms as photos would also be available.
 
Media reports said that Hilton Worldwide will be rolling out its new technology over next few months across the world. Hilton HHonors members can make use of the technology by end of summer for check-in and select their room online or through the Android and Apple HHonors apps across the various U.S. brands including Hone2Suites, Homewood Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Conrad and Waldorf Astoria.

The reports said that the Doubletree by Hilton as well as Embassy Suites Hotels properties in the United States will make the technology available to their customers in autumn 2014.
