Hotel boom in Denver with 6 new properties in pipeline in 2 years

Denver, a city in State of Colorado, was once known as a “cattle town”. The city has now left its “cattle town” identity far behind and flourished tremendously over past few decades now. In recent times, Denver is witnessing a hotel boom. At least six new hotels are in the pipeline now and set to be completed within the next two years.

For a city like Denver with a relatively small downtown status the opening of a number of hotels is a pleasant surprise for many. Many travel enthusiasts are upbeat and keeping constant tab on the fast paced development that Denver is showing presently. Here’s an update regarding the new hotels coming up in Denver in future.

The six new hotels that are scheduled to open in Denver in next two years include Crawford Hotel, Kimpton Hotel, Art Hotel, Aloft Downtown, Westin Hotel and Renaissance.

Crawford Hotel
The Crawford Hotel is scheduled to be inaugurated on July 12, 2014. The hotel is a joint venture of Sage Hospitality and Denver’s Union Station. The property will comprise of 112 rooms and has been named “Crawford Hotel” after Dana Crawford, Union Station partner and renowned urban conservationist. The hotel will be located on upper floors of the south and north wings of Union Station. The rooms of the hotel have been uniquely and tastefully decorated. The rooms will be reflecting different eras of Union Station’s historic building. The “Pullman” rooms will bring alive memories of train travel during its heyday. The Victorian era of this building has inspired the design of the “Classic” guestrooms. The “Loft” rooms in the hotel are contemporary and greatly inspired by Denver’s urban characteristic and Lower Downtown neighborhood that took shape around the Union Station.

Kimpton Hotel
Kimpton Hotel is being constructed adjacent to Union Station. This will be a second Kimpton property in Denver. The hotel is scheduled to be opened in late 2015. The hotel will comprise of 200 rooms and is yet to be given a proper name.

Art Hotel
Art Hotel is being built next to Denver Art Museum. The hotel is coming up in an area popularly called the Museum District or the Golden Triangle. The Art Hotel has been thus named as its interior will be greatly inspired by modern art.

Aloft Downtown
Aloft Downtown, a 140-room property was earlier scheduled to be opened in July 2014. The hotel will now be inaugurated on October 23 this year. This Starwood Hotel brand will be targeting urban-oriented, younger customer, and will feature a sleek, modern look.
