Hyatt’s luxury hotel brand Andaz to open in Palm Springs in 2016

Renowned global hotel chain Hyatt recently announced it will open its popular luxury hotel brand Andaz in the fall of 2016. The break ground ceremony for the new hotel will be in early summer at the corner of Alejo Road and North Indian Canyon Drive.

Media reports quoted an official of Hyatt Hotels Corp. as saying that the Andaz Palm Springs will comprise of 17 suites and 150 rooms. The new hotel would be constructed as a group of bungalows and small buildings surrounding two gardens and outdoor pools.

The hotel will be offering various amenities to its guest. These include a lounge and restaurant, spa services, and nearly 25,000 square feet of retail space and meeting facilities on its first level.

Talks for building the hotel were carried on for at least a decade before the plans for the site was unanimously approved by the Palm Springs City Council. The Andaz brand is primarily being designed for leisure travelers, but is widely expected to be gain popularity among the convention planners as well.

The reports also said that Andaz Palm Springs would be actively collaborating with the local designers, musicians, artists and other cultural influencers for delivering programs and events on themes that are unique to its location in Palm Springs.

So far 12 Andaz hotels are currently operational across the world. These include Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, AndazXintiandi, Shanghai, Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, Andaz Liverpool Street in London, Andaz Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica, Andaz Maui at Wailea, Andaz Savannah, AndazNapa, Andaz West Hollywood, Andaz San Diego, and Andaz 5th Avenue and Andaz Wall Street in New York.
