Iberia launches business class on A330 to Chicago

Iberia announced the launch of its newly acquired Airbus 330 on Madrid-Chicago route. The airline, which operates commercial flights from Spain to other cities across the world expressed happiness over the first flight.

The A330 aircraft is equipped with 36 business class seats and 242 economy class seats. Passengers booking business class flights on Iberia would be able to enjoy the comforts of improved designs and better layout. Facilities offered include instinctive entertainment options, 15.5-inch screens, and a choice of over 50 feature films, 80 TV series, documentaries, 200 musicals, and 3D games. The business plus seats, which can be converted into fully flat beds of two-meter length, gives each passenger access to the isle.

The airline plans to include Wi-Fi and SMS facilities to accentuate the onboard business class experience of travelers in the future. These amenities will be available on all long-haul flights.

The A330s aircrafts are twin-engine jets that aim to enhance the fuel efficiency by about 15%. These planes will operate on Boston, Miami and New York routes. Beginning October next year Chicago-Madrid route will be serviced by these aircrafts on a regular basis.

Rosemarie S. Andolino, Commissioner, Chicago Department of Aviation congratulated Iberia on behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel. She said that passengers flying between the cities of Madrid and Chicago will be glad about the greater space and amenities provided onboard A330 through the flight.
