Icelandair flights to Reykjavik from Denver starting May 11

Icelandair recently announced that it will begin operating flights to Reykjavik from Denver from May 11, 2012. With the launch of these flights next spring, Denver is all set to become the 9th North American gateway.

The airline will operate 4 nonstop flights to Reykjavik every week from Denver International Airport on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Icelandair currently flies nonstop to over 20 destinations in the UK, Scandinavia and Europe. It is the national carrier of Iceland ever since 1937.

Thorsteinn Egilsson, Icelandair’s General Manager, said that with the start of flights to Reykjavik travelers from Denver will now get a new alternative while on their European visit. He also said that the airline will offer convenient routes as well as competitive airfares to Iceland and beyond.
