JAL to introduce new services on Honolulu-Tokyo route

Japan Airlines has a pleasant surprise for all its travelers flying between Honolulu and Tokyo. The flagship carrier of Japan recently announced its plans to introduce new services to enhance the flight experience of its travelers.

Anyone taking business class flights to Tokyo from Honolulu will now get to feel the Hawaiian aura with ukulele music. Ukulele, a guitar like object is a native of Hawaii and an extremely popular musical instrument in the island. Popular artist Jake Shimabukur will play the instrument at the time of boarding and deplaning.

There is more for the passengers. The carrier has a special deal for its women travelers. Beginning October 1, 2013 the carrier will launch women-only-area on this route, paving way for the women to apply make-up or feed their kids without any interruptions from their male counterparts. The airline has taken this step to offer women more privacy to cater to their personal needs by dodging the prying eyes of their fellow travelers. This space will also give them the peace and the leisure to feed their infants without disturbing their co-passengers.

It will also offer new books and toys to children to keep them entertained through the long distance journey. It is set to provide young children a new range of picture books and exciting toys to kill their boredom.

The carrier lately introduced new-menus for its business travelers specially prepared by the celebrity chef Chikara Yamada. Customers can pick their delectable selections from the airline’s in-flight Bedd Sky Auberge restaurant.
