JAL to offer Mexican cuisine on San Diego business flights

Japan Airlines recently announced it will be launching its first nonstop flights services between San Diego and Tokyo in December this year.

The airline in a statement said that the flights to San Diego from Tokyo will be launched from December 2, 2012. The flights will be operated four-times every week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The airline will deploy a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to operate flights on San Diego-Tokyo route.

The airline will be offering a special in-flight menu exclusively on flights between San Diego and Tokyo for a limited period from December 2, 2012 through February 28, 2013.

Japan Airlines will be serving Mexican cuisine to customers booking business class tickets to the Californian city San Diego to commemorate the launch of the new flights services.

The airline also disclosed that customers traveling in economy class, who selected the Western meal option, would also be served a special, slow-cooked beef stew onboard their flights.
