Japan Airlines discounted airfares for new Boston-Tokyo flights

Japan Airlines had a surprise for its passengers planning to take direct flights to Boston from Tokyo. The passengers availed special discounted airfares recently ahead of the scheduled launch of new Tokyo-Boston flights effective April 22, 2012. Cheap tickets were available to the passengers until January 31, 2012. The travel period is valid from April 22 through September 30, 2012. The airline will deploy Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the new route.

The passengers from Asia, including Japan, planning to board cheap flights to Boston are currently required to make flight connections at some point during their journey.

With the launch of Japan Airline’s new trans-Pacific Tokyo-Boston route in 13 years, Boston will now be finally connected with direct, nonstop flights to Asia for the first time. This will also benefit the passengers greatly as they will significantly be able to save more than 6 hours of current travel times.

Japan Airlines has already entered into codeshare partnership with American Airlines last year. Both the carriers have also started offering each other’s customers greater benefits and travel options over the Pacific.

Besides, Japan Airlines is also into talks with JetBlue Airways to further strengthen its US network and offer easier travel options and cheap flights to Boston.
