Japan Airlines nonstop Tokyo-Boston flights launched with new Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Japan Airlines recently launched its first ever nonstop commercial service to the U.S. from Japan with the help of the new state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The airline has now started putting air tickets on sale for the flights to Boston, its seventh gateway in the North American network, from Tokyo.

The airline in a statement said that it is also into codeshare arrangements with American Airlines as well as JetBlue Airways. These codeshare pacts will help customers enjoy more convenient connections, particularly up and down the east coast. The customers will also be able to connect to and from major Asian cities throughout Japan Airlines’ extensive network at Tokyo.

The airline’s new Boeing 787 Dreamliner is configured with 42 seats in the business class, featuring the Executive Class JAL SHELL FLAT NEO seats that are 5 cm (2 inches) wider (than the seats now fitted on JAL's Boeing 777s) in a 2-2-2 configuration. There are 144 seats in the Economy Class with 2 cm (0.8 inches) wider space than current seats and arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration.

Japan Airlines has already placed order for a total of 45 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
