Japan Airlines reveals new flight frequency, fleet plans for 2014

Japan Airlines has made public its new flight frequency and fleet plans for fiscal year 2014. The new plans are applicable for both domestic and international routes. The airline will be expanding its international network with additional international flight slots it has recently acquired at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. Japan Airlines has now started providing airline tickets for new day-time nonstop flights scheduled to begin operations from March 30, 2014.

According to Japan Airlines, the new frequency would be on Haneda-London, Haneda-Paris, Haneda-Singapore and Haneda-Bangkok routes. The airline has also indicated that it will be using late night as well as early morning slots to introduce new service between Haneda Airport and Ho Chi Minh City. Japan Airlines has said that it will continue to significantly improve customer accessibility and also meet travel demand in its international gateways to efficiently connect with domestic routes within Japan.

Japan’s national carrier has indicated that it will now be increasing weekly roundtrip flights to 14 from existing seven between Tokyo’s Narita Airport and New York. The airline said that this is being done keeping in view the expected increase in travel demand between Asia and North America out of Narita Airport. Flights frequency to Moscow from Narita Airport will also be increased. Japan Airlines said that it will be increasing flights frequency to 4 from 3 roundtrip flights every week between the two destinations to cope up with the strong growth of business demand.
